| What kind of scrolling are you most into? There are many different kinds of blades to choose from. Does your saw take pinless or pinned blades.
Inquiring minds want to know. The more info we have on what you like to cut and what kind of saw you have the better we can help you out.

| Hy there bradon, gosh 11years old , I think that is just great. this is a fun craft. and so easy most the time. and your quistions are great. the pin blade machines , are what I started with. they are somewhat combinsome for they dont let you enter small holes like small fret work. but you can still do fret work. but with bigger holes. what would you like to cut?? I think if you wont to do portraits, this might be alittle bit of a problem for the blades you need for pin blades wont go into small holes.frets are just the wholes in the wood. and the begger the wholes the bigger the blade you can push through. I think the smallest one you can get with a pin blade is a # 3. and thats kinda big for portraits. but great to pratice with. one of the things you can start with. with lots of detail is segmentation. that way you don't have to enter a whole. just cut through the sides. get yourself some pine. soft wood. and a pattern. most patterns will work. and start cutting. you can stain these any way you wish. and mont them on a back bord. or glue them together. sand to your eyes content. or feel. there is lots you can do with pin blades. the best teacher, is your interist. you can't make any mistakes. just do what you think looks good. I am so glad you are hear. and we could all learn from you experiance. your friend Evie |
