Talking Newbie

Hi everyone from Surprise Az. I'm ordering a saw today and planning on digging in. I do stained glass now. I'm disabled with MS and I need something I can do from a wheelchair. This will just fit the bill........

sgimbel,
welcome to this forum, just like me, I believe you will learn lots on what the scrollsaw can do... besides having a good crowd of experienced scrolsawers, what else can you ask for?

Hi sqimbel, welcome and I want you to know how much I admire people such as yourself who do not let an illness keep them from pursuing a hobby as intensified as woodworking. You can learn from the best right here. Looking foward to seeing some of your work in the near future.....MIKe

Welcome, While waiting for your saw you certainly can pick up some tips. It is a great group to be part of.

You probably will have many of patterns to start with from your stained glass hobby.

Welcome sgimbel!

I'm glad you found the forum, and an interest in scrollsawing. It is indeed a nice way to use some of the skills you learned in stain glass. Not to mention, if you have any library of stain glass patterns, they will work well for segmentation projects.

Take care
Toni

Welcome to a great source for info and a great network of friends that you have yet to meet. This is a wonderful site full of good ideas, tips, advise and better people than most you meet on the steet.

Do you have any sites for someone interested in stained glass. The wife is looking for another outlet for her talents and I want to keep the scrollsaw to myself!
