| New Member Hi Everyone
I just signed up for this forum,so here is a little bit about me I started scrolling about 1990.When I came back from Alaska after a season of working on a Processor boat I went to the State Fair and I watched a demo with a RBI Hawk
by Garth who was selling for RBI at that time and I really liked the way that it worked but didn't have a clue about scrolling.I went back to the Fair for about a week straight and finally convinced myself that I would buy one and learn all that I could and it paid for itself just making different cut-outs that I sold to Tole painters and Religious Plaques and key chains. I kept going to the Fair year after year visiting with Garth & Marilyn . One year she was doing a new design and I let her know that she could use rock in her pattern so I went to see a sculptor that was demoing and got a piece of alabaster and showed her you could cut it with a regular blade so that worked out good for her.Any way I kind of let scrolling fall to the side while I did Jewelery work, and now I am using my scroll saw for my Jewelery work and for making wavy lines in my wood blanks for my Pen Turners.I better Quit for now as I am not usually so long winded

| Hey Chuck, Welcome to the next best thing to a new batch of wood! These people are awesome. I've been scrolling since 02/91, and it's been a great ride. Can't wait to see some pictures of your work, (we love that here). I'd be interested in knowing more about cutting alabaster myself. Again, welcome aboard!!
