Default Scrolling Words

I just made the words "Give Thanks" from the Jan 2008 issue of Creative Woodworks & Crafts by Toni Burghout and Sue Chrestensen.

I would very much like to do more of this kind of scroll sawing but I dont have any idea where to start.
Where can I get a computer program to manipulate fonts as was done in this project?

Can anyone help?

Iba Scroller:

1st, Welcome to the forum!

I hope you enjoy your visits here.

Now about your question:

Ah, just how thick is your wallet??

(Back to helping) Low end: Windows Word Pad with font selection can get you started.

Also, look into OpenOffice.org for a free to use word processor.
And Inkscape an openSource vector graphic program.

Microsoft Word, (full version) has a Word Art add in program.

My favorite is CorelDraw Graphic Suite which can be pricey. Others like the Adobe Creative Suite, which is too pricey. Learning Curve warning!!

A few more very expensive professional graphics / printing software applications with HUGE learning curves like QuarkXpress,

You could just print out the letters in different sized, and with a scissors and some scotch tape, create your own.Dale

Toni has developed a style to her word art that uses some old fashioned designer techniques (pencil and paper before moving into Corel Draw)..we're always pleased to learn that folks have liked something specific such as 'Give Thanks'..and btw LOL we have lots more on our site
