Default A helping hand

I'm a new member from Kent England, and have become interested in Intarsia, can anyone help me find an outlet that sells 1/4" to 1/2" Exotic and Hardwoods suitable for for this.

Hi and welcome to the forum, it's good to have you.
As far as woods, we have some other members from the UK who might be able to help you with that. Jump right in and enjoy yourself here, we have a great family.

Hi Harcourt

Is this resource any use to you?

http://quest42.co.uk/woodwork/woodsupplies.htm

Hopefully Danny will be along shortly - he's from Kent too and into intarsia.

Gill

Welcome Harcourt. Not much for me to do now besides welcome you, and let those who are nearer you answer your question. Have fun here among great people.

Yup, welcome aboard.I can give you a few US wood suppliers, but I dont think they ship overseas, and if they did, it probably wouldnt be very affordable. Dale

Welcome Harcourt

You'll find you may have a lot of support and references from others here who are really from "there" (England).

There are many here who share your interest in intarsia so feel free to ask questions or simply talk the talk. Have fun with us.

Take care
Toni

Hi Harcourt and welcome to this fascinating group.
I'm glad you asked the supply question as it has helped me.
A big thank you to Gill for the link to the website for wood supplies.

I have found a local supplier to me which looks very promising!
Good luck to you.
