Default New Member- Old wood woodworker

Hello everone!
I purchased this 1937 Delta 40-400 for 20 bucks. I restored it for less than 20 more dollars. This is a one heck of a smooth running machine (and very heavy). I can't wait to make my first project with it. I have a full wood shop- always missing the scroll saw. After reading many posts and trying a few cuts, I realized I am in a whole new realm of wood working!

Welcome to the family nocontest. That is an interesting saw that you have there. It looks like you did a great job restoring it. I will be interested in seeing photos of your work off of it. Question for you about that saw. Are you able to use pinless blades with it? If not do you think that you can adapt a conversion kit to be able to accept pinless blades? Thanks for sharing that. Steve

This is a pin-less machine. Purrs like a kitten and has a variable speed control. I have purchased a few blades from a big box store, some very small, and found it cuts true and holds blades very well. I will be buying bulk blades very soon, from a link found on this site.

Thanks for the welcome,

Greg
