Hello
I have just become a new member. My nickname is Varn. My background is in conventional and ornamental wood turning. I purchased a Dewalt 788 a couple of weeks ago. So far the only thing I have tried to make are name plaques for the grandbrats.

I have a couple of projects in mind that could be accented with marquetry. That is the reason I purchased the saw and I am now trying to learn how to use it.

Welcome Varn!
Take your time look around . If you can't find the answer surely ask because the only stupid question is the one that is not asked .

Default Welcome

As one "newbie on the site to another" welcome. This is a great site to belong to from what I have seen in here. Once hooked you are reeled in and you can't help but learn by reading the posts by members and get the urge to make more sawdust while having fun doing it! Merry Christmas!

Welcome to the family Varn. You will soon find many uses for the new Dewalt. It can be very addictive. I would love to see photos of some of your work. Steve
