|  Well Met My Friends My name is David Sudekum and I have been Scrolling of only about 2 years. I do however carve a bit and keep the bandaid company afloat  Actually I like doing all kinds of crafts. If it involves working with wood I might try it. A lot of what I do make/construct/design are for gifts for Birthdays, Christmas, and special events. Also make holiday decorations. I look forward to participating here. DW |

| Evie, Anything that saves you from having to vist the hospital because you just sliced your hand to the bone with the knife you just honed to a razors edge is a good thing. Yes gloves do take a little bit to get used to but it sure beats the alternative. They also make finger pads the leather on them helps a lot. The main thing I have found is that it is easier to take wood off a carving than it is to put it back. Small cuts, sharp knives/tools are a must. Keep practicing, just like scrolling, practice makes your work better. It is easier generally to carve big than carve small especially if you are trying for detail. Of course this is only my opinion DW |
