| Welcome. Scrollsaw woodworking and crafts is a good magazine. I found the New Scrollsaw Handbook by the late Patrick Spielman to be a good learning book. As far as patterns I guess I wood shop around, book stores, Librarys or the internet. Fire away with any questions, lots of helpful people here. I use FD and Olson blades, mainly #2-2/0.
Happy Scrolling.
Dean

| I'll just copy a previous post
If you click on other great sites on the left side of the page, then hit the button "Fox Chapel Publishing", then Scrollsaw/beginner, you will come to this page here http://www.foxchapelpublishing.com/s...fm?FullCat=111
I have almost all these books and would particularly like to recommend Mr. Nelson's Scroll Saw Workbook to start with. I also like Ms. Roberts' Intarsia Workbook and Patrick Spielman's books as a beginner. I don't have Charles Dearing's or Dirk Boelman's books but have cut patterns from both those gentlemen and would not hesitate to recommend them. Hope that helps! |
