Default Professional Painter - Winnipeg, Manitoba

Hi I am new to the community. I love scrollwork and just working a piece of
of wood in general. My profession is painting and decorating.
I think my passion for working with wood sometimes even overides my creativity in the painting world. Always looking for new and interesting ideas,
especially in the Christian or religious genre. I've only been play'n around with my scrollsaw for a couple of years when I can find the time. Its been great for stress reduction as well, sometimes I can get lost forever working a piece.

So if anyone has any good Christmas ornament ideas they would like to share that would be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely Mike from Winnipeg, Canada

Hello Celticking777, welcome to a very friendly board. I'd love to make something in the Christian genre so if you find a good book please let me know what it is and I'll look for it here. I'm not going to be able to make anything fancy just yet, I'm still trying out different things to do on my saw. I think its great that you live in Manitoba....I tell my husband all the time when he mentions moving away that it'd be great to move to Manitoba. No one ever says "yeah, moving to Manitoba" around here but I think its a gorgeous province. People tell me there is a reason no one says they are moving there, b/c its so cold, but I'd adjust. Anyways, down here near Windsor Ontario its just blah blah blah.
Hope to hear more from you and I hope you find what you're looking for!

Welcome to the board Mike. We have a great little family here. I would love to see pictures of your paintings as well as you scroll work. How about posting a few?
