I live in Fla. and I have been scrolling off and on for about 5 years and more off then on. I am getting into it now did a lot of messing up when I started 5 years ago and got mad because I kept messing up good wood so I quit but I am back now and doing some fair work but I am trying to learn. Welcome James. Like you, my first experience with a scrollsaw was frustrating. Mostly because I had a cheap saw. My current saw is low-end but I get by making some pretty good cuttings. Keep practicing and you'll get hooked like the rest of our membership.
