| New to the site... Hello fellow scrollers,
My name is Brad and I ventured out today with the thought of killing time and finding some scroll saw information to read. I found this site and think I will make it my home.
I started scrolling about 3 1/2 years ago and lost my Dremel saw in hurricane Katrina, I made a few pieces before the girl wanted my saw and fell in love with the act of turning wood into art.
Well last weekend I went out and bought a new saw and could not be happier for it. I am lucky that I have a wife with many honey-do projects that can be accomplished on the scroll saw. As soon as I find the place on here to post pictures I will post the last ones I did before my interruption in scrolling. I consider myself a rookie at best to the art of scrolling and have a desire to dabble in intarsia and compound cutting. So please hit me with any hints, tips, or ideas that you feel relevant.
p.s. I am military and travel A-LOT! so if you post something that you expect a response on give me time or put it in a private message so I can make sure to acknowledge it. |

| Hi Brad,
Where in Florida are you located? You have joined a great bunch of people and will learn a lot here. I know I have and continue to do so.

| Welcome Brad. At least you escaped with you and the family from that bad girl that went through. We haven't had a direct hit but have had many close calls. Hurricane Charlie took out one of my oak trees back in '04 but Francis and Jean just left me with a yard full of mess.
Again, welcome to the group.

| Brad, you've stumbled onto a great site full of friendly folks. It's always sad when a pet or other member of the family (your tools) are suddenly lost. Hope your new saw fills the void. Which Branch? C'ya round.
