| Welcome to the family gerard. There are several Dewalt 788 users here that can give you a lot of tips on that machine. I use a Delta myself for now but wanted to welcome you. Would love to see some photos of your scale boats. Steve |

| Welcome to the group gerard. Great group of people and tons of knowledge and help here. I use the Dewalt 788 (two) and love it. Never had any real problems with it and would say it should serve you well.

Aruba??
Really!!
Welcome, you just may be the first South Caribbean Sea member. Or do you prefer to use Lesser Antilles to South Caribbean Sea?
Anyway welcome. But a quick question, how is the wood available for use down where you are? Do you get a large choice of Tropic woods to use on your scroll saw? How about plywood? or are you stuck with the basic home improvement big box stores supply of wood (ie truly bad plywood that warps and curls as you take the sheet to your car.)

| Welcome Arubanite! The DW788 will serve you well.It is a great saw, one of the better ones I think. You are going to love it.Any questions, feel free to ask away, I and many others use the yella saw a lot, I mean, A LOT !!! I havent had any trouble with any of mine, except for one time when I blew the dust out of the switch. That actually blows the dust deeper in, and caused it to lose contact. Once I took that apart and cleaned it out, its been fine since.I now vacuum the dust out instead of blowing it, and I rarely do that.
I too am curious on the wood selection available to you. In addition, I am curious on the power used in your country, and if any power converter is needed to run your yella saw? And, as long as Im at it.... how much is "a verry low price" for a big yella saw in Aruba? Again, welcome. Dale |

| Welcome to a great place populated by wonderful people. Never used the yella saw, but many people on the forum think most highly of them.

Happy Scrolling
