Default Signmaker says hello!

Hello from Quebec Canada.

I found this Website purely by chance and I am quite happy to have subscribed to this forum after finding answers to questions I had regarding scrollsaw problems.

Since I am new at handling a scroll saw, I am however a signmaker by trade for over 22 years now.

Plus I enjoy drawing freehand since I'm a toddler which got me often in trouble in school since drawing came easier than learning my ABC's LOL!

I did manage schooling after all and did learn quite a few things along the way.

My love for signmaking has brought me to a new level now; "victorian style", baroque, renaissance, Celtic, etc. I find those particular styles to be classic.

And with that new learning from books and real-life objects, am able to draw my own patterns. I do have a signmaking machine, a PC etc., yet that actual "handmade" look could never be reproduced by any machine.

I tend to wanting to hold on to the old ways of signmaking, yet signs are not the only thing I am going to limit myself to.

I look forward to coming back to this forum to see what I can learn and hopefully add to topics which I feel comfortable with in helping in any way I possibly can.

Thanks for reading and have a "safe" and pleasant journey!

The Signmaker

Welcome aboard signmaker! Glad to hear you found some useful information, and better yet glad you decided to join in.
If you have any pictures of some past projects, I'd sure like to see them.

Enjoy your stay and visit often!
