Default The newest noob

Hi everyone

Just wanted to say "hi" and let you know a little about me.

I recieved a little Ryobi scrollsaw for my fathers day gift at the begining of summer from the wife and kids. I searched the net for idea's on something to start with and stumbled across the "free issue" from SSWC. Being that free is always a good price I signed up to have a look at the magazine. I recieved issue 27 summer 2007 and had a go at one of William Berry's motorcycles and Toni Burghout's Cat cuttings. Although the end product does somewhat resemble the originals, I do have a bit of practice yet to go.

After signing up for the magazine I took up on the offer of back issues and recieved them yesterday. I have to say that the projects that have I have seen in these issues are amazing and I look forward to working my way up to some of the more difficult fretwork items.

Sorry, but my "hi" has turned into a short novel but I really am looking forward to my new hobby.

Yes, Olpie, welcome. Just don't ask Dale anything about the computer he'll lead you astray! You will find that we are a very friendly group and love to see pictures, pictures, pictures, although some of us can't post them in less than an hour's time (that would be me).

Welcome Olipe to a great site. Don't be afraid to ask questions cuz no question is a silly one, only silly answers if you want them!
