Default Welcome to All I Missed

I haven't had the opportunity to check in here much lately, and have noticed a number of new faces ... (okay NAMES) have come in to our group.

I would like to welcome everyone I missed. This is a good place to make some new friends and share in our wonderful hobby. Whether you have ample experience (white hat as Mac puts it) or are a newbie, everyone has something to contribute ... THEIR experience.

Even some of us "old dogs" can learn new tricks.

So, a big WELCOME to all .... (I'd name you here but I know I'd forget someone and then feel bad..... ) I encourage you to contribute to our community no matter what your level of experience... and most of all - enjoy!

Take care
Toni

Default The "WHITE HAT"

Hi Toni,

Wearing a "white hat" has nothing to do with ones experience, skills, or know how, it has to do with being a good person, a good person like you.

But, wearing a white hat does not make some one a good person. I'm sure you know what I mean.

ROFLMAO.... ah okay.
Maybe a little background here on the white hat.....

Growing up in a mining community, the men who wore the white hats were the supervisors at the mines. They were the men with the experience to lead others on the shift.

While working in construction years ago, the white hats were the project managers, architects/engineers, and the supervisors of the trades ... in other words, those who were looked upon for the answers/leadership.

After reading your post to Sue, she also didn't know the meaning of the "white hats" and I had learned it. Instead, she shared some other ideas on the meaning of white hats.... some not so honourable.

So, lets move past.... and continue the welcome as it was intended.

Take care
Toni
