Smile March 2014 Northeastern Woodworkers Show

The annual woodworking Showcase put on by the Northeastern Woodworkers Association is March 29 & 30 in Saratoga Springs, NY. The preliminary seminar listing is on the website. You will see Jannette Square is listed. Also, Sheila Landry will be there teaching class as noted on the "information" page for the event.

My husband Charlie and I will be there, driving from Syracuse on Friday to help setup the show (we are members of NWA as well as officers in our local woodworking club). We stay at the Hilton adjacent to the City Center. Hope many will make it. As usual, it is always a great event!

Aww nuts. I would have liked to come to this show. If for nothing else but to meet Sheila. We speak in emails all the time. She is a really good artist. Isn't that up near Albany?

Who else is coming to the show in Saratoga Springs? I will be giving 2 different seminars at the show, Sheila Landry will be there as well. It's going to be a great turn out for scrollers! If you plan on attending - post a message below!

Let's see, I got stuck in Texas for an extra day due to snowstorm here in MD 2 weeks ago. It's been below zero several nights and not out of the single digits during the day. Today I had to cancel a Relay for Life fundraiser due to snow, sleet and ice. Major storm heading this way Wed and again over the week-end. As much as I would love to meet everyone, the only place this chick is heading in March is SOUTH!!!

Add to that a Nor'easter they just forecasted for next week and I know I'm heading to Key West!!!! LOL

Last thread, I read, about this show had a bunch of the forum members going to be there.

I'll be coming in there on Friday evening, from PA. I think we go from there to CT, to visit the wife's folks, for a few days, on Sunday.

I hope to see a lot of people from the forums there and see what other wonders are available during the show. I understand there is a big wood turners symposium at the same time, so I'll be dividing my time diligently.

I have no knowledge of Saratoga Springs or any hotels/restaurants in that area. Is there a good place for forum members to gather for dinner or something? Will there be a Fox Chapel booth?

I will be there only on Saturday as a bunch of us from the Long Island woodworking club come up by bus. We usually get there by 10. So unfortunately I can't meet any of you for dinner. But I will be the guy with grey hair (no beard) I will also have my name on the front of my shirt.

I WISH THEY HAD ONE A LITTLE CLOSER TO THE SOUTH. I live in the panhandle of Florida.
