Well another show is behind us. It was a great show and I will post a few pictures when I have a bit more time. Every year I am awed by the talent displayed by the members of the Long Island Woodworkers club. The furniture, turnings, scrollwork and a variety that is hard to describe. Every year I think we have peaked and every year I am wrong.

My friend Joe and I manned the scroll saws for two days he was handing out ornaments as fast as he could cut them and I was making a lot of compound critters for the kids. I always enjoy introducing and sharing our hobby with the public.

Default Long Island woodworkers show pics ( a few)

These pictures are just a small sampling of what we had on display.
Check out the Titanic. IMuch to my surprise my welcome sign was awarded a first place ribbon. The large pieces were designed and made by one of the young ladies in our club. The black dress was 1-1/2 inch wenge. Absolutly stunning work. The Cookoo clock won 1st for scrollwork.
The cars were designed and made from photo's.
The bow box is one of Caroles designs.
