Default State Fair of Texas

Anyone here going to enter anything in the State Fair of Texas?

I am thinking of entering 2 pieces 1 is Kathy Wise's Poinsettia Wreath made from Bloodwood, Yellowheart, and Poplar.

The other is a box "Petal Perfect" by Robert Ardizzoni SSWC summer 2008. Walnut blood wood Poplar and Teak. No pics tonight as the flocking is drying.

The second pic is the way my wife displays the wreath everyday. Pottery piece was made by a very good friend.
Wish me luck and thanks for looking!

Jerry I will be intering one. It is a picture of one of my customers dogs.....
It is a photo cut of a Shetland Sheepdog, " Laila" ,who unfortunately passed away at a very early age..The frame is made of Red Cedar and the picture is on Baltic Birch.
Good luck on your entry. Maybe we will meet there..

Pete.

Pete,
What part of Dallas are you in? Maybe we should get together and sniff some sawdust sometime?

Boy do I remember that Fair. Year ago (about 19) the wife and I traveled all over the US doing State Fairs and Dog Shows selling the line of animal artwork signs we made. I cut them out and she painted them....we had a booth in one of the buildings....sure was hot there. I think we did it two years in a row. Jerry & Pete, I hope you both get a ribbon..nice work

I saw it advertised on the news while I was down there last week but not being from Texas had no idea where it was. Anywhere near San Antonio? That's where I was visiting my grandbabies. If close by, maybe we can get together next time I'm down there. As long as I don't to drive too far on the 410 or 1604. Those highways are AWFUL!!!
