Demos at the Show are free and there is no pre-registration necessary. Farmingdale, Plainview and Melville are the closest towns the Show. Hicksville is just a little further, but it is still close enough to make it a viable location. The Show is at exit 48 of the Long Island Expressway (interstate 495) and traffic should not be too bad on the days of the Show. Just go south bound on Round Swamp Road and look for the signs for Old Bethpage Restoration Village which will be on your left.

Joe Thanks for the information

Carol,
Just had a glimpse of your book on Steve's Scrollsaw workshop site.
I am really looking forward to getting my hands on one, and of course to see you demonstrate your techniques.

I am just bumping this up. We are still looking for vendors , not so easy in this economy.
If any of you know of any companies that would be interested let me know and I will refer them to the appropriate people.

So if you need some special wood they will bring it to the show for you, saving you the shipping costs. Lakeshore Hardwoods Kiln Dried Hardwood

The Show is shaping up nicely. It starts a week from tomorrow, November 14. For more info and seminar schedule go to Long Island Woodworkers Club.

I'll be doing 3 demos at the show, two on Saturday and one on Sunday. I will be hanging around at other times at my table, books and bowls at hand. And, I'll be bringing along some stuff that I haven't posted yet on the forum, that should be of special interest to lathe turners.

Hope to see you there!

I forgot the most important part. I'm bringing candy, too.

Candy? I am not so sure that is such a good idea, Joe and I shouldn't really eat any or we wont be able to sit close to the saw anymore.
