Are there any hotels that are giving discounts? We just checked it's 228 miles from our house, more than a one day trip. But I so want to come!!!!!

Rolf, are there any hotels giving discounts? And if not, what's near and not too expensive? I'll be staying over, Betty is interested, and maybe others are, too. (Unless, maybe, there's someone with a really big house who'd like to put up a couple of scrollers . . . . LOL.

I just checked on Orbitz, and there are plenty of places, around $100, but they are in Hicksville, Farmington, Melville, are they close or too far? Hubby says he'll drive but not up and back in one day!!

I will post your question on our forum, as I am not familiar with that area. I live 30 miles east and heve never been there. At times like this I wish I had a bigger house and have you all stay over.

Regarding Hotels, We don't get enought out of town visitors that stay over for us to get a block discount.
Now regarding hotels there is a Holiday Inn (215 SUNNYSIDE BLVD
PLAINVIEW, NY 11803)
about 5 minutes from the show. A quick check on Orbitz shows about $99 to $130 a night.

I just booked a room at the Day's Inn, Hicksville, LI. It's about 5 miles from the show, but a senior rate, tax included, was $85.40 ($94.89 for younger folks), and that includes breakfast. This was less than any other places I found. They also have a 24 hour cancellation policy, and a lot of other places didn't. On-line booking was the same as by phone (516-433-1900). Figure I don't need fancy, and I'm big on free breakfast!
