Default Southern Louisiana ??

I never hear of anything going on in southern LA. I live in the NEW ORLEANS area( across the river in Marrero) anyone know of anything going on in the area?

I can't help ya there,but you brought back a few memories for me of N.O. Dad loved horse racing.As a kid we would leave Hot Springs (Mom was a waitress)when it got cold (no tourists) in coats and long sleeves,get to New Orleans wearing shorts (people on the streets had furr coats on etc...and thought we were crazy (or poor, LOL).I never will forget the markets or Burben Street (Dad took us through it at around twelve noon )It was really an exciting town for a kid! I had not thought of that in years.... I know this is WAY off topic, but "THANKS", your post just brought a bigger smile to my face than any joke I could read....

yea its a fun town, too bad there is so much crime in the City. I live in a pretty good area, but since Katrina we see stuff closer to home than ever before
