Got home a couple hours ago from the Texas Scroll Saw Picnic and we had a blast. I was a little under the weather but still had a great time. Lots of vendors with wood ,blades, patterns, saws , sanders, and more. There were several good seminares with lots of good and useful info to try out. I got my sand flea belt sander, some wood,a few magazines, some wood, a puzzle pattern book, and did I mention I bought some wood. well you get the picture. I did forget my camea but there were a bunch of them there so I am sure they will be here in a day or two. Got to meet many people that are on these boards so I am sure you will be hearing from them. There were a lot more entries this year and a great selection of quality work. A lot more intarsia, that's for you Janette, lol and Judy Gale Roberts was there to show us how she made her scarecrow.I talked with Diana Thompson and she was such a nice person to talk to.Well I could go on and on but give you all a break. If there is one next year you better make plans to come for you really missed out on a good time. too bad you missed it. Bobby

Lucky you getting some wood, meeting the celebs, and attending the seminars. Glad you had a nice time, and thanks for posting.

Thanks for the post Bobby. Sounds like you had a blast! Just wondering if you bought any wood? Posting messages back and forth in this forum is one thing, but meeting people in person is the best!!! Lucky for you that you had such a good experience meeting the various artists. Wish the party was a little closer to PA.

G'day bobby, sounds like good time was had by all. Unfortunately I couldn't make it as I was hosting a scroll saw picnic of my own. I had fun, got to cut stuff on an Ex21, eat a sandwich and have a beer. I also won all the ribbons, Wazza never had a chance. LOL Seriously, I'm glad you enjoyed yourself and got some wood, hopefully we will hearing from others soon.

Family and I just got back home from a great weekend at TSSP. Thanks DFWS for putting on such a great show!My two boys pretty much stayed in the saw corral both days(THANK YOU Lyndel and the others who were nice enough to bring the saws and furnish patterns to cut). We bought a ton of magazines and books also.We just sat around the hotel room Friday night looking over the magazine patterns and snacking on chips.Casey wanted me to set up a pattern for him to cut Saturday at the show(LOL)!My oldest wanted to know when the next show was (I think he is hooked on scrolling now ).It was really neat getting to meet everyone and see their art.We are all looking forward to next years event already. Well, it's bedtime (almost 3:30 a.M.).....Jerry C

I made it too! I had so much fun seeing all my friends and making a bunch of new ones. There was so much talent this year, you guys are amazing! I have to share the pictures I took but first need to make them smaller! I even learned some sign language at the picnic!! I want to thank everyone for the prayers you sent and all the emails concerning my health. I am doing much better now and hope to be back in action. Hugs Sylvia
