Hi all,
I just got home from PA. I had a great time. I got to meet and chat with tons of folks including our own Shannon, Mia (I'm so sorry Mia, it just didn't click who you were until about 30 seconds after you walked away), Dave (Plaquerd), Ben Fink and tons of other folks. I made a few new friends and all in all just had a terrific time. I survived the fretwork seminar which I had been stressing over for weeks. Hopefully at least a few folks found it helpful.
I've attached pics of the vendors and the contest area. It was tough getting pics of all the projects entered in the contest as there were so many folks in the room all the time.

It was nice meeting you in person at the show. As for the Fretwork seminar, you did a fantastic job. I heard nothing but praise for you from those I spoke to after the seminar (as the applause after you finished showed). I thought you hid your "stress" very well during your seminar and had a wealth of info for those in attendance.
I'm glad you enjoyed yourself, Kevin, along with a number of people who visit this forum. Thanks for the photographs.
Unless I'm very much mistaken, the marquetry picture in the upper left of picture seven is a knife cut marquetry kit called "The Old Curiosity Shop" from The Art Veneers Company. How did that get into a scroll saw exhibition?!

Was nice seeing you again Kevin! meet Shannon ,Mia, and several others there.
Kevin also got 2 ribbions for pieces he entered.
even at 104 degree outside we had a good time ,
Hey, Kevin. I forgive you. It did seem a little strange that you couldn't place me, but it's ok. Meeting someone in person is always kinda weird after posting on a board like this.
I enjoyed your seminar too, except my son had to go and get sick, so I couldn't stay for the whole thing. You didn't seem nervous at all once you started.
I didn't get as many pictures as I had hoped for since my batteries died, but I uploaded what I got, which is almost all of it before the winners were announced.
The show was fun, but I was a little disappointed that it was much smaller than last year.
Gill, I'm absolutely flabbergasted. I won't say that he did actually buy that kit, because I did over hear him explaining his 0.001 hand fret blade to someone, but I MUST say that after finding the kit online and comparing the kit to what I saw at the show, it's unbelievable that even the frame is identical to the kit. This is one of things that make you go hmmmm? I wonder if any of the judges have seen this. ??????

Nice pics. Mia and Kevin . I guess there was no place for a scroll saw demo with a carpet floor . Somehow I invisioned a cement floor . I must of had the wood show at Puyallup Wa. on my mind . How many patrons were there and many youngsters ? Roger
Excellent photos, Mia! They give everyone a real taste of the event.
I'm going to check out the portrait on the middle upper level of photo #1 - although it looks very familiar, I can't quite put my finger on it the way I did with "The Old Curiosity Shop".
