 |  Earl, That'd be a yep to the sailfish being painted. Roger....our own Dave (Plaquerd) was doing a scrolling demo and there was a turning demo right alongside me in the vendor area. Gill, I wish I could say I'd be surprised if someone did do that. I did try doing a search to see the kit but came up empty.

| WOW! That certainly does look very similar though I did notice that the woods themselves are slightly different colored. Thanks for the link Mia.

| I'm curous, is a marquetry kit just the different woods, a knife and the pattern or is it diecut?

| Hi Kevin An Art Veneers marquetry kit is basically a painting by numbers kit, only it has numbered pieces of wooden veneers instead of paints . It normally includes a small tube of PVA adhesive, a pattern, carbon paper, a base board, several sheets of numbered veneer, and instructions on how to cut using the 'window' method. I can't remember if a craft knife is included or not. The pieces aren't diecut; they have to be cut by hand. They're a great introduction to marquetry and were how I got started. Gill
