Kevin, first I need to know if you know any thing abut SAW- The Scrollsaw Association of the world.? If you do then I can direct you to our help section on starting a scrollsaw club. If not , no problem, we can still get it done. Where do you live in Iowa? close to what big city? toby

Kevin, how big a town do you live in? My town is about 20,000 and I started one here just by asking around to see who likes to scroll. All clubs start small. no problem. They tend to grow when people here about them. toby

My town has 3000 people, half the houses are empty the other half is for sale. I'm the only one not too interested in moving. I'm going down with this sinking ship/state. Once everyone moves out of state, I'll be able to drive faster. The faster I drive, the less impact the bazillion pot holes have on my car because I fly right over them. Right now, I'd like to thank the guy that parked his bug inside the hole down the street...now I don't lose 100% of my coffee out of my cup on the way to work.

Default Midwest Scroll Saw Picnic

The Midwest Scroll Saw Picnic ("Picnic" is just a word I use; there is no actual picnic) will be held on August 1 & 2, 2008, in Richland Center, WI. Here's the website where you can find the details:

We weren't able to attend last year, but in 2006 it was a lively event with lots of classes, vendors, and demonstrations.

If you aren't sure where Richland Center is, check it out in Google Maps or on Mapquest.

Shoot, I'd love to make a trip that way and attend, but my wife claims I should be in Tuscon that weekend
