I attended a Wooden Teddy Bear show a few years ago .I may drive down if not in Las Vegas that weekend . It is a nice drive and a beautiful state . |

| It's not a woodworking show per se like the "picnics" - it's an actual show for selling finished pieces. I haven't heard of any others like the Wooden Teddy bear one for the area. I know last year it was cancelled. It would be nice to see them have it again. I have never been to one. If you make it, be sure to come and see me! I think a lot of the other woodworkers there are furniture/fine art types. there's also a glass guild, metal guild, weavers, jewelery, potters shows at the same time in the same place. Overall, it should be a huge event. |

| Thanks Kevin. Although it's a fairly new show, it seemed like something that might be worth getting into on the ground floor so to speak. It can only get bigger. |

| It sure is a talented bunch of people and I feel honored that I was invited. It was particularly difficult for them this year as George DuBois, the founder of the group passed away just a couple of weeks ago so everyone pitched in to pull it off. I didn't know what to expect as I had only met George and none of the other members, but I was made to feel welcome. Will definitely be going back next year! I sold a ton of little magnets and 13 intarsia pieces in all price ranges so it was a success. I think there'll be some calls later on too- gave out nearly 200 business cards. |
