Default York, PA, Woodworking show 11/9-12

Anyone going to this? We will be going on Sunday. Went last year, it was rather small but I really enjoyed it.

Several of us attended this show yesterday, Sunday, Nov 11. We were disappointed at the lack of many of the major vendors dealing with scrolling sawing. Only one vendor sold wood, and only one vendor sold scroll saw blades.

However, the scrolling projects on display were great.

As mentioned the scrolling projects were great, all the rest I felt was disappointing.

I wasn't impressed when I got the flyer in the mail last month. I was walking the fence on whether to go or not just because of the amount of stuff NOT related to scroling I hear of when I called a buddy that works at the fairgrounds. He helped some of the set-ups on Thursday night and didn't see anything at that time related to scrolling. Too bad... Like I mentioned in some of my many posts... there's only a handful of us here in York using the scrollsaw for anything. It seems like the desire for wood crafts has gone by the way-side. The younger generation (just talking about here... don't get your dander up) doesn't use it to decorate unless it's got a battery or plug on the end of a cord.
