Smile COLORFEST Thurmont,md

does anyone attend the colorfest. It is the 3 weekend in october. It is the whole town, all kinds of crafters attend to sell their work. The price for a spot is reasonable. It lasts a whole weekend. All around the four stat region has all kinds of festivals this time of year, great way to show off your work if you are in this area.. Apple festival going on this weekend as well.

Apple Festival,
That drags back memories from dim dark recesses. When I was a youngster Dad had a farm in a little place called Greenbushes and the next town along was Bridgetown where Apple orchards were everywhere.
The annual Apple Festival was great fun, Dunking, Apple tossing, Toffee Apples, Apples on Strings, Hay rides, .

Ahh well - back to present

I think that the show was last weekend. According to the website;

"The 44th annual Catoctin Colorfest will be held on October 13 & 14, 2007. Over 350 juried arts and crafts will be exhibited in two areas in the Town of Thurmont. Both areas are within walking distance. The craft areas are the Thurmont Community Park and the Guardian Hose Company Activities Grounds. Admission to both of the craft areas is free."

I have been to this show before (not as a craftsperson, though). It's a very nice show in a beautiful setting. A good crowd turns out as well.

And they have it in the Spring as well. Never been there except to pass through. It's on my list of events to do.
