Here is a reputable place to get one from. Yes, they will work with all scroll saws and also other electrical tools. http://www.sloanswoodshop.com/misc_.htm

I must get one of those but Sloans does not ship to Canada. Used one at Marcel and it was great.

Haven't used a footswitch. Are they worth the money?

Definitely worth the money. No hands required for stopping quick when you break a blade. It also saves on the scroll saw switch. No need to ever use the on/off switch again.

For the Canadian crowd who might be interested, Busy Bee Tools sells one VERY reasonably. I've got one and love it.

The foot switch is just a switch in series with your saw so if the switch is rated for the current load you could put an outlet strip on the switched end and plug your whole shop into it. In reality if the switch is rated for 15 amps and the combined startup load of the saw and the vac don't exceed that you should be okay. For me personnaly to have the vac go on and off every time I start my saw would drive me nuts. Or should I say Nuttier
