Default What is this tool?

Sorry but I can't even post a pic. I've seen it in magazines, though. Looks like a long, thin bar of spring steel that you can attach a strip of sandpaper to. I wanted to try to find one but Google isn't much help if I don't know the proper name.

Hmmmm.... this is difficult.

I suspect it's a gizmo, but it might be a widget.

Thanks, Carl. They are similar. The one I'm trying to find has a simple clamping mechanism on one or both ends and is a straight bar. I've not seen the whole length of the tool so I'm not sure if there is a handle of some sorts on one end.

Mike, that is either a wachamacallit or a thingamajig and it's used for sanding an object that smells real bad.

I think this is what you are looking for. I thought it came from PS Woods but I don't see it on their web site.

Mike:

This is a wild asp guess:

Try this site, http://www.mcmaster.com/

do a search for: abrasive strip holder.
On the bottom of page 2576 there seems to be something like you have been describing.

Don't know if this industrial site will sell to general public. But maybe as a business owner of your web site?
