Flex Shaft for Dremel

Hi Everyone, I was wondering where would be the best deal on a flex shaft for a dremel model 395. I can't find one in the local stores. They all say they would have to order it. I thought that I would ask you all and order one myself. Thanks, Steve

... or you could get a non-dremel rotary tool complete with flexible shaft and loads of accessories here .... for less than the normal price of a dremel flexishaft.

Found mine at local Wal-Mart on sale for $10. Lucky find as I wan't looking for it that day.
And I do believe the 395 is what I have. I guess that would be more of a gloat and of no help to you. Sorry.

Steve, I just looked and there are several currently listed on e-bay. It might be worth exploring that option. Just watch the shipping costs. A lot of sellers make their money on the shipping cost and not the actual price of the product.

I don't remember what model Dremel I have, but I ordered mine from Amazon. They have quite an extensive selection of Dremel goodies.

Steve I have seen them at home depot but I got mine when I got the dremel on one and the other one I have had since my last shop and I closed it in 96- I did buy a rechargeable rotary tool from harbor freight that had a flex shaft and a light and 2 battiers for $19. I know I have seen the flex shafts here for around $20 but what you say is much to high. Did you look under Dremel and see about them there-I know they have them .and they would be so much cheaper than anywhere else .I have to get the brushes for my XP through them and they are cheaper than anywhere.

If you lived near me, I'd sell you mine really cheap. I never use the dreml flex shaft because I have a real carving tool with a professional flex shaft.

I couldn't work my segmentation or intarsia ( today I am using different woods together) without my flex shaft. That is how I do 95% of my contour sanding. besides they are great for not having to hold the tool itself-something very important to someone with not much strength.
