Those of you who use a "Dremel Tool Drill Press" -- Do you mean the plunge router attachement #335-01? Looking at a picture it doesn't seem like the drill press stand would be much help for reaching into patterns.

I have a B&D rotary tool and wonder if it would work in the router base. Drilling by hand is iffy when you are stack cutting.

I've attached some photos of the setup I use. A picture is worth a thousand gummi bears (or something like that... )

Great tip, and yes a picture is worth a thousand gummi's
My dremel drillpress is so old....how old is it?
The drill doesnt actually move the table is raised to the bit with a cam affair, that is why the visual works so well for me now.

I can shout a resounding Homer Simpson DOH!

Thanks Gill

I wish I had understood that earlier as well!!!! Now another quick question for the dremel users...how fast do you run the bit at? At the higher speeds, the bit seems to wobble more, but it bogs down at the lower speeds...

I only use my Dremel with small drill bits, so I run it at full speed. I've never experienced wobble of any sort in my workshop .

So you've got a problem with eccentricity, Bob?

Eccentric...that's me...in any sense of the word!!!

I guess I wouldn't have as much trouble if I wasn't drilling trough 7/8"-thick maple...

Default Radial Drill

If you buy one also buy a magnetic dial level indicator the scales are not always acurate on the machine, clip it to the quill when you set up to be sure your straight up and down
