Angry Roybi 16" scroll saw

How can I keep the tension on my pin less blades ? It keeps comng loose at the lower clamp.

I am not sure on the 16" but on my 18" I took sandpaper and sanded inside the clamps. There were some burrs left there during the manufacturing process.
Once they were gone it was much better.

note. I still do have a problem clamping extremely fine blades. less that 0/2.
I have to admit it is a short coming of the blade clamp design

Follow Carls lead, try sanding the blade ends a tad, if its not working, try sanding the setscrew. Dale

I have found that over time my bolts on my Royobi seem to wear unevenly if I don't get the blade exactly centered in the clamp I have had to refile my bolts a couple of times top and bottom it seems there should be a way to redesign the bolts?

Mine does not use bolts for the clamping. I will take a picture when I get home and post it. The clamp looks more like the jaws of a pair of pliers with an adjustment screw behind the fulcrum
