Default Scrollsaws from Heaven

Seems I have been wrangled into buying a Hegner 14e (I think it is fixed speed) for $250. Seems I also have a father-in-law that has a Delta C-arm (not sure of model) I can get FOC (Free Of Charge).

Now to find the space in the garage for it. Or see if Marcel can share his 'shop' plans. I'd love to put a 2story 16x24 shed out by the pool.

How sad . Couldn't he get a proper prosthetic arm?

Seriously, congratulations on your good fortune .

Yes the 14E is a single speed saw, I bought one a few years ago, and have made a lot of sawdust with it. I have this year updated to a G4 Hawk. Only because of the, being able to run the blade from top to bottom. But on the Hegner, I did what they tell you that you can't do. They say it can hurt the motor, but it never did mine. And that is I hooked up a fan speed control to it, and slowed it down to where I wanted it to run. I ran it for years that way, with no problems. Now maybe I was just lucky I don't know, but it worked for me, for a number of years. But the little Hegner is a sweet running saw.
