well the link seems to take you to the wrong article but if you scroll down the menu at the left you should see 'GOLF BALL CUTTERS'

The link referenced has a creative idea for a tool. *If you want the old fashioned easy approach (KIS), take a hack saw and make a circumferential cut that just goes through the thickness of the cover. *Break the bond of the cover with the core by prying it up with a thin angled piece of metal or a screw driver. *If you make some marks on the surface, they will be carved off away. *It will lift off with some effort.

This is my way, fast, easy, and safe! I bought a commerial grade pvc pipe cutter made by rigid ,any model will work. Center ball in cutter make sure you leave golf ball title on one half, sqeeze cutter and cut ball in half,it will cut perfectly and their will be a few index marks to alighn ball halves up ,put a few drops of supper glue on each half and press together ,cant see seam,if you do a light sanding will make seam dissapear. I forgot to add,,agter cutting remove outer shell ,simply by prying light with small screw driver. |
