Finally broke down. $29 & free shipping. Not a bad deal even came with a spare battery.

Good for you. I found mine had the spare battery for a reason. Even when off it drains the battery so i remove the battery and tape it to the device when not in use. Edited to say...Mine is a Wixey brand so perhaps you won't have this problem.

Have fun with your new toy. I have the Wixey and wonder if the the battery life in yours will be better. I also do what Mike does.

I have the I-Gaging Angle cube and its still on the original battery. I bought a digital angle finder for table saw use and had the same problems eating batteries. Also my digital calipers do the same. I guess its a game of chance when it comes to these inexpensive tools. I hope you have good luck with yours, I'm lost without mine. Lou. |

I have a Wixey and I started right away with removing the battery...just in case. In fact until this post, I forgot I had bought it, but I know right where it is..................I think..

So you zero it on the table then lean it against the blade to get the angle?

| Nope rest it gently against a tight blade and when you have top to bottom blade contact zero it. Then place it on the table
