Default carousel horse 'hardware' sources

???
hi, I'm not a woodcarver (but I do build fine wood furniture) -- just sending out a message in an electronic bottle, trying to find sources for poles and bases used to display full-size carousel horses. I've just acquired a Luis Ortega horse, partially clad in tooled copper -- very unusual -- but can't seem to find places that supply the gizmos to mount him on. Sources offering other-than-brass poles would be particularly welcome, although I'll be grateful for any leads.
thanks!

Ever thought about having a blacksmith make you some hardware? Yes, blacksmiths work in copper, brass, aluminum and other things besides steel. Go to www.anvilfire.com for a link to the Blacksmiths Webring. There is a growing number of Artist Blacksmiths who could probably do the job.

Sorry , I don't have a webpage to direct you to, but I have seen webpages that have original salvaged brass poles for sale.... i would suggest you do a search using Google or Yahoo.com
