Does any one know if you can get a spiril blade that is pinned? also what type or types of blade are best for portraits? thank you to all that reply |

Not sure about your first question.... As for the best type of blade for portraits - any blade that you are comfortable with! lol some people swear by spirals. Others can't stand spirals so they use flat blades. Me - I actually use a combination of spiral or flat blades. And I tend to change the size of the blade depending on what the size of the cut-out is. welcome to the forum.... ![]() T |

Hi Scott. I've never come across a spiral pin-end blade and I used to have a pin-end saw. You might find a conversion kit like this. a useful way to go. The Wooden Teddy Bear, Inc.: Accessories Good Luck

No company ever made a spiral blade with pins. A spiral blade is made from regular flat blades. It would not be possible to put pins in it after they are twisted. Check with Frank if he can help you on new clamps? A lot of scrollers like to use a spiral blade for cutting portraits. Pozsgai's Designs - Scroll Saw FD Mike
