This is my first time using one of these message boards, so please bear with me! My question is: what is the difference between a #2 blade and a 2/0 blade, etc? I thought they were the same thing! Thanks alot!! |

A 2/0 blade is smaller (not as agressive, smaller teeth, narrower, not sure of exact terminology) than a #2. The sizing goes like this (from smaller to larger) 3/0, 2/0, 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 etc. there is not that much difference going from a 2/0 to a 2. For what it's worth, the numbering system for blades is the exact opposite than that for fish hooks where a 3/0 is much larger than a 3. |
