Default Excalibur 16 Up and Running, Top Coating?

My Christmas present was an Excalibur 16, love it. Smooth and slick are the cuts as compared to my 10 year old Craftsman. My question is should I coat the table with something to preserve it, it looks so nice I hate to use it.
Thanks Doug

I do not know what the table is made of. On the dewalt we use Johnsons paste wax without any silicone. I'm sure you could use the same on most of the tables.

How do you like changing blades on it?

I use Johnson Paste Wax for all my saw tops and exposed metal surfaces on all my woodworking tools.

I use a product called "Topcoat" on all my tables. Never had a flake of rust and it is so smooth and slick when I put something on the scroll saw table, because they are sloped towards me, they would slid off if it was not for the magnets.
Now, this includes the time they were move in an open trailer 50 miles and caught in a mountain thunder storm half way there. When I got to where we were going, I wiped them off and never a bit of rust. A little last a long time.

Thanks all for the help.
Mike, blade changes are a bit of a mystery to me at this point. I question the process I am using, after clamping both the top and the bottom clamps you swing down a tension lever. The blade tension can then be adjusted on the rear with a tension knob. All well and good, not as easy as my old Craftsman but ok. When you release the tension with the swing down lever the blade bulges to the side. I probably need to learn the trick or maybe someone on this site can give me the secret.

Chuckd, how about more information on this product ? A Google of Topcoat brought up all sorts of stuff not related to protecting bare metal. Maybe a manufacturers name ? I would like to try the stuff. I currently use Johnson's Paste Wax.
