Default dewalt scroll saw?

I am the newest 1285th member to sign on. I hope I get replies to answers i post and I thank you for them now if don't reply back to you. My question now is; how do I check for wear and tear of the moving parts on my dewalt 788. How much should the blade move in the x and y axis. Is there some where to have the machine checked by dealers and if so what would it cost about? :-/

I wouldn't worry about wearing of the parts that way. These saws are meant for alot of use. If something goes bad then that is the time to worry. Now there are some maintenence things you can do and I would check out Rick's site and he goes over some of them.

You say you are the newest member to the site but how long have you been scrolling? Is this your first saw?
