Mike, I just looked at woodworker.com They have both style foot pedals for a couple $$ less but I read your post again and I see the place you mentioned has free shipping which is a much better deal.

Mike I gave the big bucks once for the foot switch , but found that Harbor Freight has them a far bit cheaper . That is if anyone has a store close to them , and there foot switches are just as good ...............I know ........Marshall

Default Harbor Freight foot switch

Thanks Marshall for the lead on Harbor Freight. I hadn't even thought about checking there. According to their web site, they have a momentary contact foot switch for $9.99. There's a Harbor Freight about 6 miles from my house, but by the time I got there tonight, they had already closed. I will probably pick one up tomorrow morning sometime. They also carry the push-on/push-off type as well, I think for $12.99.

Thanks again for the heads up.

Default Harbor Freight foot switch

Hi Marshall - I was able to pick up a foot switch at Harbor Freight this morning. I actually bought both types. The one that is push-on/push-off I will probably use with my router table and/or drill press, and have the dust collector/Shop-Vac come on at the same time. Both seem to work equally well, just depends on whether you want to hit the switch again to turn a machine off. I have the temporary-on version hooked to my scrollsaw, with a 24"-long power strip with 4 receptacles, and use one of the 4 outlets for a light for the scroll saw. Everything works at once, with easy on-off at the mere pressing or releasing the foot pedal. Thanks again for the tip!

Happy Scrolling!

I bought one about 2 years ago from Harbor Freight and its still going strong..I believe back then I gave $9.99 for it. In fact I need to get a couple more of them for my other saws.
