I came here for advice on an upgrade from my DeWalt scroll saw and Hegner was suggested . I received it a few days ago. It is as advertised. Cuts very well when properly mounted to a firm base. I had to build this stand for it. It is secured to the concrete floor under the wooden one.

Jim, I am very happy with my Hegner and am sure that yours will do all you ever ask it too....congratulations on your purchase. I did make one small modification to my one and bought a flexible blower tube from Mike, at Mikes Workshop which is now able to blow the dust away from you rather than at you. Rhys |

Congrats Jim. You got a great machine. Doesn't look like that stand is going anywhere. Tom

So how did you get it secured to the concrete floor. I can't imagine putting holes in my basement floor. How did you do that?

What model Hegner is that? It doesn't look familiar.

It is a Hegner Polymax 3 and has a throat of 20" ...The table size is 19" x 10" ..... I used a hammer drill and hit anchors to secure the four floor flanges to the concrete... The pipes are 1 1/4" and the 4x4's under the saw are 15" long and the 3/4" MDF under the saw measures 24" x 18"

Jim Congratulations on the new saw. It looks like you secured it very well. Enjoy and go make some dust.

Good looking setup Jim! It sure isn't going anywhere that's for sure! I have the Hegner 22v mounted on a 4 leg stand and then attached to a moble base ( because I have a small shop ) and don't have any vibration issues. Good luck with your Hegner I think you will like it.
