I use a Dremel variable speed corded unit to drill holes for portraits and other assorted fret work, when I can't reach them with my drill press throat. The idea of a cordless is appealing. Any advice pro or con would be appreciated. Thanks, Dale DW 788 |

I like cordless tools, but they tend to run out at inopportune times. I once had a cordless rotary tool and it never lasted very long on a charge. For drilling at a bench, I would want one that charges in a cradle so that it's handy on the bench with no cords to plug in and always charged. I use corded and have one of these hanging from the ceiling over my bench: Variable Speed Rotary Flex Shaft Grinder Carver Drill - eBay (item 400072140858 end time Sep-13-09 08:36:50 PDT)
