Default Scroll Saw table is wobbly

I moved my DeWalt 788 from the stand. When I put it back the table is wobbly. I've tightened everything I can see. Did I break loose a soldering (this is spelled incorrectly but for the life of me I can't remember how to spell it - and if you don't know how to spell it - how can you look it up???). Any help would be appreciated.

Sally,
The spelling is correct but it would be a welded not soldered joint. You may be able to lossen several of the bolts, let the stand settle and re-tighten or shim one or more leg to level.

Sally

There are 2 bolts under the table up front at the top of the bevel scale make sure they are tight. Here is a link to the 788 manual on page 6 you will see them http://c.sears.com/assets/own/00924470e.pdf
Hope that helps you.

Sally, I don't know how you "broke" your Dewalt, but Google has a nice feature for when you are not sure of some word spellings.
Just type in define:xxxxxxx (x = the close to spelling of word) and if your spelling is wrong it will ask you "Did you mean......"
Check it out its neat. Make sure you put the colon after define and no spaces between it, or the word.

loosen the stand bolts and retighten them will help if the stand is wobbly.I hope thats what you meant be the table being wobbly. Also, check the little peg dealy thingy at the back of the table to make sure it is still fully seated into the hole, its possible that came apart a smidge, and if it comes out enough that the O ring isnt into the hole, it can make the table a little loose.

You guys are great - actually after trying some of the things John and Tim suggested, it turned out do be little peg in the back of the table not being fully inserted. Anyway it in great shape now. Thanks everyone!!

Sally

Glad you got it. I was just going to tell you about the pin because I had reset mine today. But at least you got it.

For those of you that don't know, there is a spellcheck here on the right, upper corner, on Quick Reply or Post Reply. ABC with a check mark below it.
