Hi, Has anyone else had this problem with the CW40, I turn it on but it doesn't start, it is getting power to the motor because I can hear it hummimng. Sometimes I can move the arm up and down and it will start other times this don't help. Also I changed the brushes and it worked fine afterwards so I don't think thats the problem, has anyone else had this happen to them. Is so what did you do the saw is about 1 year old. |

Yep, happened a few days ago. Took the green cover off, spun the drive arm clockwise a few times. That may free it up, or not. If not, spin it with the motor ON a couple times. Best done with the blade removed. Mine started fine, no problem since. I suspect either a 'flat spot' on the motor or brushes, or some dirt or impediment somewhere. It was working fine until I used the compressor to blow it down and clean out all the hiding places. Terry |

Yep that should work, it happened to me one time when I had my cw, with the motor on I would push on the arms to get them going again. After the first time it never happened again.
