Default Ex 21 up and Running

G'day all,
The top sliding mechanism and blade clamp screw turned up for my saw last week.

I took the whole thing apart, blew it all out with the compressor, reassembled it with the new parts and greased all the moving parts, and made sure all of the bolts were snugged up tight.

Turned it on, and boy oh boy does it run quiet and smooth. Better than when I took it out of the box.

Tomorrow I'm making saw dust by the bucket full.

Glad the pieces finally showed up John. I could detect just a bit of withdrawl symptoms in your type from not having your favourite scrollsaw running!!!

Sir John of OZ, did you break your sword. I have two years on mine, I had to replace the upper blade holder. One of my grand daughters was trying to remove the blade with a pair of pliers. Other than that, all is well with "EXCALIBUR" and the kingdom is running smoothly.

Me, too, Janette!

My DeWalt makes an occassional subtle knocking noise when run at low speeds. I found the problem and the solution with help from some members here, but it requires taking the sucker apart and adjusting a tension rod.

Too scary for me unless the saw stops working.

Ok, That's two, now all we need is few hundred others to chuck a few dollars in the pot and I'll be on my way

I suppose, being a Farm Boy, makes taking things apart to see what's wrong natural, putting them back together, the same way they came apart, 'aint quite as natural LOL
