Why would you go smaller? You won't save much space and probably end up with a lesser saw.

Well I have been cutting every thing on a skill 3335 and the only problem is the stupid screw threeds keep stripping but it cuts good .I would like to buy the craftman I like every thing about it.the dewalt is a very good saw but I am not macanicly inclined to fix it I just dont know what to do some one told me it was an easy fix but didnt tell me how. So I decided to sell the dewalt I only used it once I filed the thumb screw burs off both top and bottom and the blade still wants to bend I dont realy know what to do so its up for sell if no one wants it here I will sell it on craigs list or dsw.

Sorry to hear your giving up on a near new saw. I still do believe its something very minor that is giving you trouble, but without being able to see it firsthand, I cant really offer much more advice than I have. You havent had it very long... warantee isnt helpful? You no doubt will be getting rid of a great machine with many years of usefulness. I wasnt joking when I mentioned naming a price, unfortunatly the price is out of my reach.

I sit here looking at my dewalt and wish I could figure it out. I waited for two years to by one and finaly got one was very thrilled and put it together did every thing to fix the problem it is probably easy to fix . I guess I dont know what Im doing . I sent it back to grizzly and they told me to take it up with dewalt and dewalt told me to send it to grizzly so they sent it back to me .I just dont have the money to send it to be fixed .we are dealing with a lot of money problems right now and I would love to keep it I love to scrollsaw its what I do best . It bothers me to see it sitting there not using it.but it drives me nuts not knowing whats wrong. No one in Yuma Arizona knows how to fix it I called several places and they said to send it to sandiego and Im back to were I started again.Im praying I will find the problem Im a little slow on fixing things I do thank you guys for the help you gave me in the past you are a great bunch of friends and Im glad to be part of this scrollsaw club.

Can you post closeup pictures showing the problem, what you've done, etc.? Maybe we can help you tackle the problem that way. If someone say's turn that dohicky in the upper left corner of the pix or loosen that thing-a-mabob located xyz. Some pix of the damage to the blades may help, also. As the old saying goes a picture is worth a thousand words as some here may also be able to post pix of how to solve the problem. Just 2-cents that may be helpful to get you back to sawing.

Kingbrat, I bet there's someone near you that knows how to fix things. There's always someone around that can fix about anything. Possibly another scroller or woodworker in your area that can do it. I'd sure give it a try if I could. The place where you buy your wood might be a good place to start. It would be a shame to get rid of this fine saw if it wasn't much to fixing it. Just my two cents worth. David
