Hey Dale, thanks for the info. You got it, it was the thumbscrew in the lower blade holder which would knock on that little blade guard thing. When I put a larger blade in the thumbscrew would not turn as far leaving it almost straight up and down. I ended up just removing the guard because it is more comfortable for me to tighten the blade with my left hand.

Thanks again

King

Cool, I am glad I could help. Thats a perfect example of the value of posting a little video on youtube. Without that, I wouldnt have thought to have you check there. Such a simple fix, I am glad it worked out for you!

Dale, that was VERY impressive. Just having the perceptual keeness to note that his blade screws were on the left, and then rationalizing out the logic that the larger blades will keep the screws out further and strike the guard was pretty awesome.

You win the award!

PS: By the way, Dale, while you're on a roll...my car's air conditioner is making this whistling noise....

LOL, heres four possible fixes for that ^ , move to a colder climate, wear less clothing, turn up the radio , or insert earplugs.
Chances are any of those fixes I mentioned will be much cheaper than getting a new ac pump for your car, sounds like dry bearings huh?

King, I'm glad super sleuth (Dale) fixed your problem.
None of my thoughts would have helped and would have involved a bit more work than it did.

When I read the initial post, I knew the fella with the yella saws would have an answer. Turns out he had THE answer.

King, glad your problem is solved and you were very inventive in using you tube for help. And Dale, once again, we are humbled to be in your world.
